After years of frustration with microblading and permanent makeup pigments on the market, Eye Design’s founder and Master Technician Nadia Afanaseva decided to launch her own.
The thin and watery pigments Nadia used in the past led to blurry, faded brows for her clients. So, Nadia sought out the best chemists and manufacturers in the industry to formulate a first-of-its-kind microblading pigment with a thick, gel-like texture!
Our Microblading Pigment’s thick consistency stays in place under the skin -- unlike traditional formulas! Hair-like strokes applied to the skin during the microblading process never lose their crispness when the artist uses Eye Design’s Microblading Pigments. The thick consistency also helps the pigment last longer under the skin; thin, water-like pigments fade much more quickly under the skin and can even disappear after the healing process.
Additionally, Nadia noticed that many pigments already existing on the market would turn blue/gray or ashy under the skin. This was extremely frustrating, as Nadia strived to give her clients only beautiful, natural-looking results. To ensure that this never happens with her own pigments, Nadia worked hard to bring a better formula to market! Eye Design’s beautiful, mineral-based Microblading Pigments heal beautifully and never turn blue/gray or ashy under the skin. They can also be mixed with distilled water or Pigment Thinner for the micro-shading process.
Eye Design’s Microblading Pigments are available in six stunning base shades to suit clients of all skin tones and undertones! We also developed four Correction Pigments using the same high-performance formula to help permanent makeup artists and their clients achieve the most amazing results.
Caramel is for clients with fair skin and blonde or red hair. It is best suited for those who are a 1 or 2 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
Darker than Caramel, Cappuccino is for blondes and brunettes who have light skin with pink undertones. It is best suited for those who are a 1, 2 to 3 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
Coffee is a universal, true neutral pigment that can be used on clients with light skin and dark blonde, brown or black hair. It is best suited for those who are a 3, 4 or 5 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
A universal color that has warmer undertones than Coffee, Chocolate can be used on clients who are a 3, 4 or 5 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
Dark Chocolate is ideal for clients with skin that has yellow or olive undertones and dark hair. It is best suited for those who are a 4, 5 or 6 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
Espresso is only to be used on clients who are a 5 or 6 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
Black makes all six base pigments darker. It is NOT for use alone while microblading and must only be used as a mixer! When mixing any Eye Design base pigment with our Black Correction Pigment, you do not need to use more than 10 to 20 percent to darken it sufficiently.
Ivory is for special effects only, such as highlighting under the brow. Do not use it without proper training. It can also be used for the correction of small mistakes, such as a single hair stroke.
Orange warms up any base pigments with cool undertones. It can also be used for the correction of blue and grey colors left behind by old permanent makeup.
Yellow/Olive cools down any base pigments with warm undertones. It can also be used for correcting red, orange or pink colors left behind by old permanent makeup.
