Meet all of Eye Design's premium pigments
Our studio’s founder and Master Technician Nadia Afanaseva worked hard to develop a range of premium pigments for both microblading and Powder Effect procedures.
Alongside chemists and doctors, Nadia found a beautiful, long-lasting formula for her signature Microblading Pigments. And a couple of years after their success, Nadia went back to the lab to start the development process for Powder Effect Pigments.
Beauty professionals all over the world love Nadia’s Microblading Pigments. With a first-of-its-kind gel-like texture, this formula does not run or bleed under the skin, resulting in blurry brows.
When she first began microblading, Nadia realized that many pigments on the market had a thin, watery texture, which would lead to pale, blurry brows for almost all of her clients. After trying every pigment available on the market at the time, Nadia felt incredibly frustrated! Her results never seemed to heal beautifully. She even questioned if the microblading technique was right for her and her studio.
Then, Nadia decided to take the matter into her own hands!
Her pigments are high-quality and extremely saturated. They are suitable for both experienced microblading artists and beginners alike. Pigments stay fluid during the entire microblading process, so technicians never have to worry about colors drying out! Additionally, the mineral-based formula is hypoallergenic and cruelty-free.
All of our pigments are made in the U.S.A. from FDA-approved ingredients. They are completely safe to use on almost all skin types, from oily to dry and everything in between. It’s versatile; you can use dark pigment for lash effect as well as eyeliner.
With our easy-to-squeeze tube, you will be able to get every last drop of the product out.
Caramel: For clients with red or blonde hair and fair skin
Cappuccino: For blondes or dark brunettes with light, pinkish skin
Coffee: A universal neutral color for blonde, brown or black hair with light skin
Chocolate: A universal warm color
Dark Chocolate: For clients with dark hair and yellow/olive skin
Espresso: For clients with dark hair and dark skin
In addition to the six beautiful base shades, Eye Design also has four Correction Pigments: Ivory, Orange, Yellow/Olive and Black.
Technicians who prefer to work with thin pigments, as well as those who want to use our Microblading Pigments for shading, can mix in our Pigment Thinner. It also lightens the pigments’ color, which is noticeable after healing.
Pigment Thinner is made with skin-loving glycerin, as well as distilled water and ethanol, which allow this product to remain colorless.
As Powder Effect, also known as shadow effect, ombré brows and micro-shading, became more popular throughout the semi-permanent beauty industry--this technique is definitely here to stay!--Nadia expanded her range to include six stunning Powder Effect Pigments.
With a thinner consistency than our Microblading Pigments, our Powder range was developed to be used with a machine tool (like this one).
Taupe Sand: A light pigment suitable for pale skin that has cool undertones. It is the best option for clients with gray hair. This shade has an olive base to help mask old microblading or permanent/semi-permanent makeup that has turned red.
Tiger’s Eye: Works best for light skin that has neutral undertones. It can sometimes heal with a warm undertone, especially on thin skin.
Smoked Topaz: A yellow-based pigment for light to medium skin. It works for all undertones, and can also be used to mask old microblading or permanent/semi-permanent makeup that has turned blue.
Burnt Umber: A warm pigment with an orange base for light to medium skin with warm undertones. It can mask old microblading or permanent/semi-permanent makeup that has turned green.
Brown Diamond: For dark to deep skin tones that have warm, neutral or cool undertones.
Rich Onyx: For dark to deep skin tones. It heals cool-toned and mixes beautifully with Burnt Umber for warmer results.
